Links that follow on this page contain excerpts from Freedom Teachings® presented as research references. I am mindful of copyrights. So where ever possible I will make sure to include the copyright markings on the excerpts. This statement serves as copyright notification for any excerpts where the original copyright may be cropped or missing. Excerpts on this site come from the original works of the MCEO Freedom Teachings® or ARhAyas Productions® (herein referred to as “KS Materials”) which I believe are now all owned by E’Asha Ashayana.
The excerpts here are presented in accordance with Fair Use Copyright laws. KS Materials are presented to the public as reference and training material – basically an encyclopedia for bio- regenesis and self-healing (#1 and 2 below). Excerpts can be used without permission or payment as long as the “use” is for research according to the following definition:
17 U.S.C. § 107
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 17 U.S.C. § 106 and 17 U.S.C. § 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include:
1. the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
2. the nature of the copyrighted work;
3. the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
4. the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.
content and only a very small portion of that will be posted here as excerpts (#3). Also, I am not
presenting this material for profit, or as my original work (#1). Instead I am using them as researched references to present a perspective which others might find helpful in their KS studies (#4).
That said, KS Materials are NOT protected by copyright registration. The materials are marked with copyright phrases, and that means they are identified as copyrighted original works. But that does not mean infringements (i.e. republishing slightly twisted versions of the teachings) could be legally stopped unless it’s a registered copyright. Bottom line, it’s not possible for the teachings to be legally protected because they are not registered.
No workshop, manual, diagram etc. has ever been registered for copyright protection.Searching the copyright database (click “Search the Catalog”) for the name Melchizedek returns
‘Bloom of Doom’ material, but no KS Materials; the name A’shayana doesn’t find anything. Searching titles/keywords: Freedom Teachings, Kathara, MCEO, Dance for, Masters Templar Stewardship, etc... no results.
Recent materials have been Trademarked, but are still not copyright protected. What’s the difference? A trademark only protects the name of the work (e.g. ShiftMasters®). However, trademarking a word does not offer any copyright protection for the work it represents. So until the teachings are copyright registered, anyone can take any KS Materials (including the new Tan-Tri-Ahura® work) … put in a slight twist, then republish it without fear of legal
consequences for infringement as long as they don’t use the trademarked names.
U.S. copyrights are very inexpensive and easy to register online using the eCO system (click
“Register a Copyright”).
